This fine art print is inspired by the monumental sculpture of Archangel Michael adorning the Saint-Michel Fountain in Paris, created by Francisque Duret (1804–1865). Considered one of the most powerful representations of the archangel, this sculpture stands out for its intense dramaturgy, its vertical momentum, the tension of the body, the power of the gesture, and the contained force of the combat.

Archangel Michael appears with the demon defeated beneath his feet. His gesture is decisive, yet above all symbolic: with his raised hand, he points toward the sky, toward the light, toward God.
